โมเดลกระดาษนี้มีประโยชน์อย่างมากในการช่วยให้เกิดความเข้าใจโครงสร้างทางธรณีวิทยามากขึ้น เหมาะสำหรับผู้ที่เรียนวิชาแผนที่ธรณีวิทยา หรือ Structural Geology หรือวิชาอื่นๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับรอยเลื่อนหรือแผนที่ ซึ่งสามารถสร้างเองได้อย่างง่ายดาย แบบชิวๆ
